Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malaikottai Vaaliban hit the screens on Thursday, ahead of the Republic Day weekend. The rumours of a second part to the epic that follows a wrestler has been making rounds for quite some time now. While the makers had previously not confirmed it, it has now been made official as the announcement was played at the end of the film.
The film co-stars Manikanda Rajan, Sonalee Kulkarni, Andrea Ravera, Hareesh Peradi, and Danish Sait. It is written by PS Rafeeque, who previously collaborated with Pellissery on the acclaimed Amen.
Malaikottai Vaaliban is backed by multiple production houses such as John & Mary Creative, Century Films, Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments, Yoodlee Films, and Amen Movie Monastery. Prashanth Pillai composes the music while Madhu Neelakandan, who worked on Pellissery's Churuli is cranking the camera. The film also stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Danish Sait, and Rajeev Pillai among others.
