After the roaring comeback in Vikram last year, Kamal Haasan is all set to be seen in the upcoming action thriller Indian 2, directed by Shankar. The film is a sequel to the 1996 hit actioner which saw Kamal Haasan play dual roles. While the film is in the final stages of production, Kamal Haasan recently revealed that he watched a few important scenes from the film and is impressed.
Sharing an image of him gifting a watch to director Shankar, he wrote on Twitter, "I watched the important sequences from Indian 2. My best wishes @shankarshanmugh. My wish is that this should not be your peak because this is the highest stage of your artistic life. Don't settle for this and grow more in search of many new heights."
Shankar's Indian 2 sees Kamal Haasan returning as Senapathy, a former freedom fighter who is a vigilante. Like the first part, the second instalment will also have the actor essaying dual roles. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film marks Anirudh's second collaboration with Kamal Haasan Vikram. It co-stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, and Vivek. After Indian 2, Kamal Haasan will be seen in Nag Ashwin's Project K, which co-stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
