Mammootty And Jyotika Share A Cold Relationship In The Trailer Of Kaathal The Core

The trailer of Kaathal The Core, starring Mammootty and Jyotika in the lead roles, was unveiled recently. Although the trailer reveals one of the story's central conflicts, it raises curiosity about the interpersonal dynamics between the main characters.

Early in the trailer, it is revealed that Mammootty's character, Mathew Devassy, is set to contest in location elections and he seems to share a cold relationship with his wife, played by Jyotika. Although we are not sure whether Mathew's decision to contest in elections is the reason for his wife's silence, we are soon introduced to different characters who seem to be affected by his decision. The very first image in the trailer is an over-the-shoulder shot of Jyotika looking at Mathew's poster on the wall.

The film is directed by Jeo Baby, best known for directing the acclaimed The Great Indian Kitchen, while Mammootty produces through Mammootty Kampany. Written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria, the film has cinematography by Salu K Thomas while Francies Louis and Mathews Pulickan serve as the editor and the music composer, respectively.

Kaathal The Core is set to hit screens on November 23.
