Mufasa: The Lion King Release Date Announced

Disney has announced the release date of the much anticipated animated film Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to the 2019 release The Lion King. The prequel will delve into the early life of Mufasa and his brother Scar.

The announcement was made on Walt Disney Studios India and Disney after the unveiled the trailer along with the film’s release date.

The caption on Disney page read, Orphan, outsider, king.#Mufasa: The Lion King, in theaters December 20.

Directed by Barry Jenkins and produced by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Mufasa: The Lion King follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, adapted from the 1994 classic. The cast also includes Billy Eichner as Timon, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, John Kani as Rafiki, and Jeremy Irons and Chiwetel Ejiofor in undisclosed roles.

Mufasa: The Lion King releases in theatres on December 20 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
