Ever since the trailer of Welcome to the Jungle released, the third installment of the successful Welcome franchise starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles with an ensemble of supporting cast, fans were intrigued to know why certain actors from the earlier franchises were excluded from the third part.

At a recent event, Nana Patekar who played the iconic character of Uday Shetty in Welcome alongside Anil Kapoor who played ‘Majnu Bhai’ was quizzed, why isn’t he a part of Welcome to the Jungle.

Patekar’s response didn’t seem very overwhelming, he said, “Maybe I am too old and an old actor, and that is why they did not choose me for Welcome 3.”

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film also stars Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Bobby Deol, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharib Hashmi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav among others.

Produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala and Jyoti Deshpande, the film is expected to release on December 20, 2024 in theatres.
