It has been announced that actor Nithiin will be collaborating with filmmaker Sriram Venu of Vakeel Saab-fame for his next film, titled Thammudu. Dil Raju is producing the film under his banner, SVC productions. The film marks Nithiin's third collaboration with the production house after Dil (2003) and Srinivasa Kalyanam (2018). Likewise, Thammudu marks director Sriram Venu's fourth film under the SVC banner, after Oh My Friend (2011), MCA (2017) and Vakeel Saab (2021). It is the 56th film to be produced by Dil Raju under his banner.
“Some titles come with a lot of responsibility attached. We will deliver beyond your expectations,” Nithiin wrote on Twitter, referring to Pawan Kalyan’s 1999 sports drama, Thammudu.
The film was launched with a formal pooja ceremony on Sunday. Prasad, a well-known financier, clapped for the muhurtham shot and director Anil Ravipudi switched on the camera while filmmaker Vamsi Paidipally directed the first shot.
Satyajit Pande, who previously shot successful Hindi films like Taare Zameen Par (2007), Kahaani (2012) and Dangal (2016) handles the cinematography. The makers shared that the principal photography of the film will commence on September 1.
Meanwhile, Nithiin's next, Extra Ordinary Man, is set to hit screens this December.
