Operation Valentine Trailer Talk: Varun Tej Stars In A Top Gun-Inspired Flick

The makers of Varun Tej's aerial action drama Operation Valentine released the film’s trailer today. Salman Khan and Ram Charan unveiled the Hindi and Telugu trailers, respectively. Just like Hrithik Roshan's Fighter (2024), this trailer also has the DNA of Tony Scott’s Top Gun (1986) and its sequel. 

The early sequences of the trailer highlight Varun Tej’s character, IAF officer Rudra — portraying him as gritty, courageous, and daring. There are glimpses of his love story with Radar Officer Sonal, played by Manushi Chhillar. Against the backdrop of a militant attack in Pulwama, Kashmir, Rudra and his team are entrusted with the mission of delivering a resolute response to the adversaries. The narrative unfolds to showcase the valour of the Air Force officials on the frontlines, safeguarding the nation amidst adversity.

Operation Valentine is directed by ad filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh Hada. Shot in both languages, the film draws inspiration from real events and guarantees an exhilarating aerial experience, as hinted in the trailer. The film also stars Navdeep, Ruhani Sharma, and Mir Sarwar. The technical crew includes cinematographer Hari K Vedantam and editor Navin Nooli. The film features music by Mickey J Meyer. Produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sandeep Mudda, Operation Valentine is set to hit the screens on March 1.
