The makers of Prabhas’ Salaar - Part 1: Ceasefire recently announced that the film has officially been certified ‘A’ by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Notedly, the teaser had the tagline "the Most Violent Man", hinting at the violence in the film. In addition, the trailer of the action entertainer indicated excessive violence and bloodshed which could be the reason for the ‘A’ certificate.
The film stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran as two friends who join hands to defeat the foes who staged a coup to take away Sukumaran’s throne in the city of Khansar. The trailer of the action film was released a few weeks ago and was a huge hit among fans. The film would be Prabhas’ second release of the year.
Salaar - Part 1: Ceasefire is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and is backed by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. It co-stars Shruthi Haasan, Bobby Simha, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy. Ravi Basrur has scored the music while Bhuvan Gowda has handled the cinematography, with Ujwal Kulkarni as the editor. The film is all set to be released on December 22.
