Premalu: The Rom-Com of The Year Goes Overseas

Director Girish AD’s rom-com Premalu has been receiving rave reviews and has seen great commercial success. The Nalsen and Mamitha starrer has been lauded for its performances and has been having a dream run at the box office. Now, the film is being eyed for an overseas release by prominent Hindi cinema production and distribution house Yash Raj Films. The legendary entertainment company has reportedly acquired the UK and Europe distribution rights for the rom-com.

Yash Raj Films has been known for its brand of romantic films, which they have been making for the past few decades. The production house is known for films such as Kabhi Kabhi, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The production recently released Tiger 3 and distributed Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film Dunki.

Premalu is directed by Girish AD, who co-wrote the film along with Kiran Josey. It is backed by Dileesh Pothan, Syam Pushakarajn, and Fahadh Faasil under their production banner Bhavana Studios. The film was released on February 9. It has music by Vishnu Vijay and cinematography by Ajmal Sabu.
