Ever since the Raashii Khanna and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Aranmanai 4 released, it has left the audience raving about the horror-comedy. The actress has expressed gratitude as the film opened to great reviews from the audience and critics alike. In fact, it has also become the first Tamil hit of this year and is minting moolah at the box office.

Sharing the reason behind giving a nod to the film, Khanna said, “I have worked in Aranmanai 3, so, I signed Aranmanai 4 without a script or narration. I had faith in our director Sundar C. He is the master of the horror-comedy genre, and I just dived in with that faith. When a filmmaker is so clear about what he wants, it becomes very easy for the actors. We just had to follow his vision. It was the easiest set to be on.”

Further, the young pan-India star expressed that she is glad that the film is receiving positive responses from the audience. She stated, “The response has been overwhelming. After the first press screening, several media members messaged me that it’s a blockbuster and it would revive the Tamil film industry from the dry spell. I am so glad that the audience gave it so much love that apparently, the theatres are going houseful every day! I also got a lot of love for the ‘Achacho’ song. I have never done a song like that before, but I think I should now.”

In Aranmanai 4, Khanna essays the role of Dr. Maya and works as a catalyst in unfolding the story. She is set to star in The Sabarmati Report alongside Vikrant Massey. The film is slated to hit the theatres on August 2. Apart from this, she will also be seen in the Hindi film TME and the Telugu film Telusu Kada.
