Rashmika Mandanna Headlines Rahul Ravindran’s 'The Girlfriend'

Rashmika Mandanna had a momentous 2023 after the blockbuster success of her films such as Varisu and Animal. She also had her sophomore Bollywood effort with Netflix’s Mission Majnu. Now, the star is all set to feature as a lead in director Rahul Ravindran’s romantic thriller The Girlfriend. The makers of the film announced that the film has officially gone on floors in Hyderabad.

The announcement came with a short behind-the-scenes video that sees Mandanna and Ravindran beginning the first shoot in a school. Producer Allu Arvind is also present on set and is seen conversing with Ravindran. The film is produced by Arvind under the Geetha Arts banner and the film marks its 51st production.

Rashmika Mandanna has a long lineup of films on her slate, with another lead role in Rainbow and the much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule. She is also set to star with Dhanush in D51 and the Hindi film Chaava.
