Sam Bahadur Teaser: Vicky Kaushal Nails it as Sam Manekshaw

The official teaser of Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur was finally released by director Meghna Gulzar on her Instagram handle. Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw w1ho is a dedicated and determined officer in the Indian Army. The film will also show the 1971 war where he led from the front and which ended with the creation of Bangladesh.

The teaser shows Sanya Malhotra essaying the role of Manekshaw’s wife Siloo in the film. Towards the end of the teaser Fatima Sana Shaikh as Indira Gandhi tells Manekshaw that its the soldier’s responsibility to die for his country where he corrects her, “Soldiers ki duty hai desh ki raksha ke liye dushman ki jaan lena (It is the duty of a soldier to kill anyone who comes in the way of their country’s safety).”

Sam Bahadur also stars Neeraj Kabi and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Jawaharlal Nehru and Yahya Khan respectively. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 1.
