Sanya Malhotra Nominated for Best Actress at New York Indian Film Festival 2024 for Mrs

Sanya Malhotra who bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her performance in Kathal (2023) has now been nominated for the best actress award at the New York Film Festival 2024 for her powerful performance in Mrs.

Malhotra shares the category of 'Best Actress' with talents like Rajshri Deshpande, Priyanka Bose, and Tanishtha Chatterjee. In the 'Best Actor' category, Amitabh Bachchan, Roshan Mathew and others were nominated for their respective performances. Apart from Malhotra, Mrs’ director Arati Kadav has also scored a nomination in the Best Director category.

Mrs is a poignant drama exploring the complexities of womanhood, relationships, and societal expectations. Malhotra's portrayal in the film has earned the actress' widespread acclaim.

On the work front, apart from Mrs, Malhotra will next be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in Dharma Productions' Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The film will also feature Jhanvi Kapoor, and Rohit Saraf.
