Shah Rukh Khan fans celebrate 10 years of Chennai Express with free screenings of the film

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film Chennai Express (2013) has officially completed 10 years since its release. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the film and build momentum before the release of Jawan, Khan’s fan club SRK Universe, has announced that will organise free screenings of Chennai Express across 50 cities in India. 

Sharing a post on their social media page the organisers said, “BREAKING: We are all set to celebrate #10YearsOfChennaiExpress as we await #Jawan. We have organized free screening of #ChennaiExpress on 9th August 2023, its 10th anniversary, in over 50 cities in India for all the FANs!!!” FANs can connect with the details mentioned in the poster or can DM @JoinSRKUniverse to join us for free! Chennai Express was released on August 8, 2013. It told the story of Rahul (Khan) who meets Meenamma (Padukone) when he boards the Chennai Express going from Mumbai to Rameshwaram. Plenty of drama and comedy follow as Rahul realises that Meenamma is the daughter of a feared don and is on the run from his goons. The film was directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment. The film also starred Nikitin Dheer, Sathyaraj, Kamini Kaushal and Lekh Tandon.
