Shah Rukh Khan fans welcome Jawan with cake, garlands, and dahi handi celebrations

Shah Rukh Khan fans across India celebrated the release of his film Jawan on September 7 in many different ways. Videos of huge crowds waiting outside the Gaiety-Galaxy theatre in Mumbai for the 6 a.m. show have been shared on social media by Khan's fan clubs. People can be seen dancing to the beat of traditional Indian drums as they wait to see Jawan's first show on the first day of its release.

Another video from outside Gaiety-Galaxy, shows members of a group creating a 'dahi handi' formation to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami and Jawan's release on the same day The person at the top of the formation can be seen striking Khan's trademark stretched-out arms pose and waving a flag in his support.

In Chennai, fans garlanded a massive poster of Khan outside Rohini theatre while fans in Bengaluru celebrated Jawan's release with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Jawan is directed by Atlee and stars Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles with a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.
