The makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s next film with Rajkumar Periasamy recently unveiled it's title teaser. Titled Amaran, the military action drama sees SK stray away from his usual comedic persona and lead a war against terrorism in Kashmir. The teaser indicates that the team he leads is a brutal force that hopes to vanquish terrorism from the area.

The video opens with a terror group publicly shaming an army officer and using his death as an example. It also shows the training camps that brainwash children into believing that their acts are ones of freedom. It then shifts to a raging pep talk by Sivakarthikeyan’s Mukund V, who tells his squad that they have been chosen to be in the team, named Rashtriya Rifles because they are the best. A montage of high-octane action sequences is shown, with the soldiers chanting a popular poem by Bharathiyar.

Amaran, which was previously titled SK21 is written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. It is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the Raaj Kamal Films International banner, in association with Sony Pictures International. The film also stars Sai Pallavi in the lead role. GV Prakash Kumar handles the music while CH Sai handles the cinematography.
