Soodhu Kavvum 2 Is In The Final Stages of Production, Makers Release BTS Pictures

Vijay Sethupathi’s cult modern-day classic Soodhu Kavvum (2013) is finally getting a sequel, Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naatum Naatu Makkalum (2024), which will feature Shiva in the lead role and is touted to be a continuation of the events from the first film. The project is currently in production and some of the main cast members of the original have been retained for the sequel. While the new film is based on an idea given by the director of the original, Nalan Kumarasamy, the sequel is helmed by SJ Arun, who previously worked as a writer in Vishal’s Mark Anthony (2023). 

The makers took to Twitter to announce that the film is in the last stages of production. Sharing behind the scene images, they wrote, "The filming of #SoodhuKavvum's highly anticipated sequel is nearly concluded 🎯Here's some from the sets of #SoodhuKavvum2: Naadum Naatu Makkalum. The God of Lord is coming soon 🍀 With The Gang 😈 With New Rules !"

Soodhu Kavvum 2 will feature Sathyaraj, Ramesh Thilak, M S Bhaskar and Radha Ravi. Bankrolled by CV Kumar Productions, the film will have music by Edwin Louis and cinematography by Karthik K Thillai. Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naatum Naatu Makkalum will hit the screens in the first half of 2024.
