Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta to Star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Next, Lahore: 1947

After the blockbuster film Gadar 2 (2023), Sunny Deol will soon return on the big screen with his upcoming film Lahore: 1947 which will be helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film also starring Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Mona Singh, among others will also have Aamir Khan in a special appearance. Abhimanyu Singh who was last seen in Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer Selfiee (2023) will play the antagonist in the film. Singh’s character in the film is as strong as the villains written in Ghatak (1996), Ghayal (1990) and Damini (1993).

The music and background score of Lahore: 1947 is done by AR Rahman, whereas Javed Akhtar has come on board to pen the lyrics. Santosh Sivan will be the DOP (Director of Photography) on the sets of the film.

The film is expected to release in cinemas on Republic Day 2025.
