Sunny Deol Starrer Gadar: Ek Prem Katha to re-release in theatres 2 months before the Sequel

Sunny Deol’s blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) is set to have a re-release two months before the sequel to the movie hits the theatres. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha will be released in theatres on June 9 for a limited period in 4K and Dolby Atmos sound.

The 4K trailer was released today. Deol took to social media to share the restored trailer with the caption, “22 saal baad Tara Singh aur Sakina ki prem katha phirse aa gayi hai aap sabke dilon mein apni jagah banane.#GadarTrailer out now! (Link in bio) Movie returns to the big screens on 9th June for a limited time in 4k and Dolby Atmos.”

Anil Sharma who directed the first part is also the director of Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. Along with Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma (who essayed the role of Deol and Patel’s child in the film) will also be returning for the sequel. Gadar 2 releases in theatres on August 11.
