Suriya To Team Up With Sudha Kongara For His 43rd Film

It has been announced that Sudha Kongara and Suriya, who worked together in the National Award-winning 2021 film, Soorarai Pottru, will be coming together for a new film, tentatively titled Suriya 43. The film will be produced by Jyotika, Suriya and Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian through 2D Entertainment.

The announcement was made through a video that teased elements like war, revolution and violence, hinting at some of the film's themes. The film will also feature Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Fahadh, and Vijay Varma in prominent roles. GV Prakash Kumar, who also scored for Soorarai Pottru, will be composing music for the new film. Notably, Suriya 43 marks the music composer's 100th film.

It is to be noted that Suriya is co-producing the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, starring Akshay Kumar, with Sudha also helming the remake that is yet to get a release date.

Suriya, meanwhile, is currently filming for the Siva directorial Kanguva, co-starring Disha Patani.
