Vasanth Ravi, who is known for his intense performances in Ram's Taramani (2017) and Arun Maheshwaran's Rocky (2021), is gearing up for the release of his next film ASVINS. It is slated to be released on June 23. Taking to Twitter to announce the release date, he mentioned that the horror film was one of his toughest roles to perform as an actor and urged the audience to experience the film on the big screen.

ASVINS is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual horror film which is written and directed by Tarun Teja, based on his own short film of the same name. The film’s teaser, which was released a month ago, hinted at Ravi's character being plagued by an alternative, demonic version of him as paranormal events occur to the people around him.

Backed by BVSN Prasad under the Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra banner, the film co-stars Vimala Raman, Muralidharan, Simran Pareek and Saras Menon. While Vijay Sidharth has scored the music, AM Edwin Sakey has cranked the camera and Venkat Rajen has handled the editing. Ravi will also be seen in Rajinikanth’s Jailer which is all set to be released on August 11.
