Veere Di Wedding 2 is in works confirms, Rhea Kapoor

After her critically acclaimed film Thank You For Coming which was recently released in theatres. Producer Rhea Kapoor has confirmed a sequel to her 2018 film Veere Di Wedding which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas. The film was directed by Shashanka Ghosh.

A report in Bollywood Hungama has a quote of the actress to her fans where she said, “I’m working on Veere Di Wedding 2. It will be very different, it’s not going to be what anybody expects. I didn’t want to do it until I knew that it would be better than the first one and I knew that it was going to be hard because Veere Di Wedding is my everything.” However, the producer is yet to give a confirmation on the casting. “It’s such an important film for me. I love that film and very attached to it. I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t get the same amount of joy I did from making the first one. So, yes, Veere Di Wedding 2 is in the works,” she added.

Kapoor hasn’t revealed any details on the cast of the sequel. She is also producing, The Crew , starring Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh as main characters. The film will tentatively release in March, 2024.
