Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena and Sonam to get a sequel soon

Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania was a success at the box office and grossed over 100 crores in worldwide collections. The film was directed by Shashanka Ghosh and co-produced by Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Nikhil Dwivedi. The frothy film on female friendships is reportedly getting a sequel soon. 

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source close to the development revealed, “Veere Di Wedding is a very special project for the makers, and they have already set the ball rolling for the sequel. So, Veere Di Wedding 2 is definitely being made, and the idea and concept have already been locked. However, the script is still being written, and the final draft should be ready in a few months. Once that is done, they will start looking at the casting and other logistics. The movie will roll next year.”

Veere Di Wedding 2 is likely to be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
