Vicky Kaushal’s Chaawa will see Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb

Vicky Kaushal’s next is a historical drama Chhawa starring Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. As per a recent report in Times of India, the makers of the film have also roped in Akshaye Khanna to play the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the movie. Khanna’s character will play a key role in the development of the story.

Chhawa is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The report further states that director Laxman Utekar will begin the shooting of Chhawa will be completed in six months. Chhawa also stars Divya Dutta and Ashutosh Rana playing supporting characters. There were reports of Sunny Deol to be a part of the project but a confirmation on the same is yet to be announced.

The shooting of the film will begin in Mumbai soon and the first schedule will be for one week.
