Yash Raj Films’ singing star Bhajan Kumar is a character in This Upcoming Film

After creating intrigue with news about launching a new singing star, Bhajan Kumar, a new report in Bollywood Hungama quotes a source, who reveals a connection between Kumar and Vicky Kaushal. 

The source revealed to the portal, “Bhajan Kumar is the name of Vicky Kaushal’s character in The Great Indian Family. He will be the attraction at the grand musical event, which will be held in the city on Wednesday, August 30. The promotions of The Great Indian Family will kickstart with this musical function.”

Yash Raj Films (YRF) also shared a post on their official Instagram page with a video clip where Kumar is seen greeting audiences and performing on stage. The clip doesn’t reveal his face, but ends with the text ‘Tomorrow meet the kind of Bhajans.’ YRF added a caption to their post which said, “Dil thaam ke ho jaao taiyaar… maare entry – BHAJAN KUMAR ( It’s time to wait with bated breath, Bhajan Kumar is making an entry). Introducing YRF’s singing star! Arriving tomorrow! Set your reminder now”

Bollywood Hungama had earlier quoted a source as saying, “As the name suggests, Bhajan Kumar’s proficiency is in devotional music and YRF will showcase his singing talent at a live event designed to present him in front of the media.”

The Great Indian Family stars Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the lead roles. The film, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, will be released in theatres on September 22.
