Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, has began tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here's a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of July 5th, 2021 – July 11th, 2021. The numbers are all estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming released from the South.

1) Grahan – Disney+Hotstar

Views (million): 4.5

Based on Satya Vyas's novel Chaurasi, the premise of Grahan is compelling. The 8-episode series is centred on a Ranchi IPS officer named Amrita Singh (Zoya Hussain) who, on the eve of the 2016 elections, finds herself leading a special investigation of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Bokaro.

3) Collar Bomb – Disney+Hotstar

Views (million): 2.2

Jimmy Sheirgill stars as a supercop in Sanawar called Manoj Kumar Hesi, whose chief-guest appearance at a school function is interrupted by a young terrorist who takes the auditorium hostage. This becomes a cat-and-mouse race against time, with the terrorist forcing the cop to run around town and commit certain crimes in order to disarm the codes of the bomb.

4) Broken But Beautiful – ALT Balaji and MX Player

Views (million): 1.9

Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee star in the third season of Broken But Beautiful about wounded lovers looking for closure and catharsis. The show that released on ALT Balaji a few weeks ago, also dropped on MX Player two weeks ago.
