Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of February 27th to March 5th, 2023. The numbers are estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming releases from the South.

1. Gulmohar - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 6.5

Starring Sharmila Tagore, Amol Palekar and Manoj Bajpayee, Gulmohar follows the last four days of the Batra family living in their 31-year-old home before they move to a new city.
