Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, has began tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here's a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of May 10th, 2021 – May 16th, 2021. The numbers are all estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming released from the South.

1) Radhe – Zee5 and ZeePlex

Views(million): 8.9

This Salman Khan starrer was the tentpole Eid release of this year, a remake of a Korean movie The Outlaws directed by Prabhudeva. The films also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, and Randeep Hooda.

2) Out Of Love Season 2 – Disney+Hotstar

Views (million): 5.9

Based on the BBC One series Doctor Foster, this web show set in Coonoor, tackles infidelity and insecurity with dark, delicious takes. Since this is the second season, the stakes are upped. The show stars Rasika Dugal and Purab Kohli.

3) Ramyug – MX Player

A Kunal Kohli regurgitation of the Indian epic Ramayana, this is a close-to-the-text rendering of the events in the life of Rama, his wife Sita, his brother Lakshmana, and his enemy, the ten-headed Ravana

4) Kathmandu Connection – SonyLIV

5) Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele – Disney + Hotstar

This is a roadtrip movie where two friends – one gay, one lesbian – iron out the joys, jealousies and jostles of life.
