Here's a list of five action entertainers you can binge on this weekend if just want some good ol' larger-than-life fun.

Bharat Ane Nenu

Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video, Aha, Voot

Bharat Ane Nenu is director Koratala Siva's fourth outing after the hattrick success of Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage. The story revolves around Bharat, an Oxford grad, who is asked to return to India after the demise of his Chief Minister father. What follows is a political action drama along the lines of Shankar's Mudhalvan and Sekhar Kammula's Leader.

Eega

Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Google Movies

The story of a director (SS Rajamouli) making a fly the protagonist of a revenge drama and executing that absurd idea into a blockbuster feature itself could one day be made into a hit film. With Sudeep's impressive performance as the bad guy, Nani's poignant turn and Samantha's quiet love, and brilliant camerawork by KK Senthil Kumar, Eega is a must-watch for exploring one of Rajamouli's best in the pre-Baahubali era.

Athadu

Where To Watch: Amazon Prime Video

Director Trivikram Srinivas recently gained popularity across India for his blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. His second outing Athadu, which starred Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj and Trisha, was a well-written sleek action entertainer. It tells the story of Nandu, an assassin who returns to his childhood village seeking refuge under an alias (Parthu). The intense action-packed drama that follows shows how Nandu resolves the ongoing issues in the village when he is being tracked by a witty yet clever CBI officer played by Prakash Raj.

Janatha Garage

Where To Watch: Disney Hotstar, YouTube

Koratala Siva's second movie to feature in this list was headlined by two of the biggest stars in the South, Mohanlal and Junior NTR. Most directors have paid tribute to The Godfather (Mani Ratnam's Nayagan, RGV's Sarkar) and this can be seen as Siva's own ode to the timeless classic. Watch out for Mohanlal's great performance.

Goodachari

Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video

Although different from the films mentioned until now, Goodachari is an inspired take on the spy genre, which has seldom seen success in mainstream Indian cinema. Loosely based on Mathew Vaughn's The Kingsman, Adivi Sesh plays a rookie who gets recruited to be a RAW agent. It's a must-watch for Bond and Bourne fans.

Other films you can check out include Yevadu (Disney Hotstar), Attarintiki Daredi (Disney Hotstar), Hit (Amazon Prime Video), Temper (SunNXT, MX Player) and Hello (Disney Hotstar).
