The trailer for the latest Shoojit Sircar-Juhi Chaturvedi collaboration Gulabo Sitabo is here.

Due to release exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on June 12th, Gulabo Sitabo marks the first major Bollywood films to get a direct-to-digital release as a result of the lockdown.

The film sees Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan come together on screen for the first time, here playing a quarrelling landlord and tenant duo. Set in Lucknow, the official synopsis reads 'two slimy scheming foxes in a game of one-upmanship'. Armed with a protruding prosthetic nose, Amitabh Bachchan is the 78-year-old landlord constantly at loggerheads with his equally spirited tenant (Ayushmann) until he's left with no choice but to find a way of evicting him at all costs. It's a curious premise for a film, but one which leaves plenty of room for relatable comedy, in how it explores the quintessentially contentious landlord-tenant relationship.

Gulabo Sitabo marks Ayushmann's second film with the director (after the actor's debut film Vicky Donor), and Amitabh Bachchan's third following Piku and the as-yet-unreleased Shoebite. From producers Ronnie Lahiri & Sheel Kumar, the film offers an exciting supporting cast which includes Farrukh Jafar, Brijendra Kala and Vijay Raaz among others.
