If you are a certified film buff, Cinema Is Forever, a fundraiser quiz might be the perfect place to flex your cinephilic muscles, while also contributing to a good cause. Presented by National Award-winning filmmaker Satyanshu Singh (Chintu Ka Birthday), powered by Tulsea, a media and content management company, the quiz will be conducted by Quizmaster Venky, from Nexus Consulting.

When is it?

August 22nd, a Sunday, from 5-8 p.m.

What is the format?

There are two rounds. The first round, around 45 minutes, will serve as the elimination round. Based on that, the top 10 will be selected for the final round which will be broadcasted live on YouTube or Facebook for everyone to watch. The final round will be around 90 minutes. Satyanshu Singh, himself an avid quizzer, notes, "We have received a lot of entries so far, so even getting to the top 10 should be very cool."

How can I participate in it?

What kind of questions will be asked?

The whole spectrum — Hindi movies, regional cinema, world cinema, Hollywood, web-shows. As Satyanshu Singh notes, "This quiz will test the width and depth of your film knowledge. There may be multiple choice questions, you may get a picture and question based on that, or made to listen to a piece of audio. It's quite wholesome, and very entertaining."

Where does the money go?

When you purchase a ticket, there is a list of 7 NGOs working at the grass roots you can choose to donate the money to. If you do not have a specific NGO in mind, the ticket price will be split equally among all NGOs.

Following are the NGOs.

1. Balajee Seva Sansthan — Healthcare and Empowerment of the Underprivileged (Dehradun, Uttarakhand)

2. Chandana Art Foundation International — Training and Upliftment of Local Artisans (Bangalore, Karnataka)
