Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space between May 13th and May 19th, 2024. The numbers are estimates based within India, and only include Hindi streaming releases.

1. The Great Indian Kapil Show - Netflix

Views (million): 3.9

Kapil Sharma reunites with Sunil Grover and his rag-tag comedy crew to bring the popular essence of his weekly comedy show on Netflix. The Great Indian Kapil Show will drop one episode per week.  

2. Heeramandi - Netflix

Views (million): 3.5

3. Baahubali: Crown of Blood - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 3.3

A prequel to the Baahubali films, this show follows Baahubali and Bhallaladeva fighting against a warlord called Raktadeva.

Views (million): 2.9

This crime thriller returns for a third season where the stakes are higher than ever before.
