Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space between June 17th and June 23rd, 2024. The numbers are estimates based within India, and only include Hindi streaming releases.

1. Kota Factory S3 - Netflix

Views (million): 5.5

The show follows the lives of students’ life in Kota as they attempt to crack hyper-competitive exams to get into IIT. Tillotama Shome joins the cast for the third season.

2. Bigg Boss OTT S3 - JioCinema

Views (million): 5.3

Anil Kapoor replaces Salman Khan as the host in the third season of the controversial reality show’s OTT avatar.

3. The Great Indian Kapil Show - Netflix

Views (million): 4.3

Comedian Kapil Sharma interviews celebrities and performs skits in this weekly variety show.

4. The Legend Of Hanuman S4 - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 4.1

The series follows Mahadev’s incarnation as Hanuman to serve Rama, and his transformation from a mighty warrior to a god. 

5. Bad Cop - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 3.1

Starring Gulshan Devaiah and Anurag Kashyap, this show has been described as a classic cop vs. villain story with a lot of twists and turns.
