Tiger Shroff's back and this time he's taking on Syria.
The third edition of the Baaghi franchise centres on two brothers – Tiger's Ronnie and his cop brother Riteish Deshmukh whose entire function seems to be to shout his Ronnie's name when he's being beaten up. Which appears to be… A lot.
Big brother Deshmukh travels to Syria where he gets captured by an unnamed radical terrorist group. Once again Ronnie must step in to kill some folks and save the day with his trademark ballet bone-breaking style. Except this time, as the trailer so faithfully tells us, 'they're not 2…they're not 100…they're an entire country'. We're quite possibly two sequels and one reboot away from Ronnie taking on an entire planet.
What follows in the second half of the 3 minute 40-second long trailer are the customary and increasingly ludicrous action scenes which include, but aren't limited to, Tiger surrounded by tanks, Tiger engaged in clearly Wonder Woman-inspired shield combat, Tiger going against 3 helicopters, and lots more. All of this eventually fades into a blur of utter carnage featuring shirtless Tiger Vs HelicopterTankExplosionBuildingGuns. Going by the trailer, any hopes of aspiring to a more competent action film in a post-War world appear to be doubtful.
With a supporting cast which includes Shraddha Kapoor, Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat, choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan's Baaghi 3 releases March 6th.
