The trailer of Brinda's Hey Sinamika! promises a lot of the light romance and drama you'd expect from the title, based on a song from Mani Ratnam's Oh Kadhal! Kanmani. Besides the casting (Dulquer and Aditi Rao Hydari), the trailer gives several glimpses of the trademark urban style you'd see in the veteran director's films.

In terms of plot, it hints at a love story between an RJ and a senior station manager. We also get signs of DQ choosing to become the 'house husband' upon marriage, before a third person enters their equation. It suggests a romantic drama that begins with a fun love story, which then shifts gears into serious territory and conflicts after marriage, like Alaipayuthey. That the trailer ends with an AR Rahman reference only makes it even more self-aware about its many Mani Ratnamesque qualities.

The romance, Dulquer's first in Tamil since Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal, is written by lyricist Madhan Karky. Apart from Dulquer, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Aditi Rao Hydari. The music is by Govind Vasantha and it was shot by Preetha Jayaram.

Just a week ago, the teaser of Vignesh Shivn's romance Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal, too dropped. It looks a comedy about a man who falls in love with two women at the same time.

The love story, about a man named Rambo (Vijay Sethupathi) and two women Kanmani (Nayanthara) and Kathija (Samantha), is director Vignesh Shivn's second fourth feature film. It is also Anirudh's 25th album.
