Koogle Kutappa Trailer Talk: KS Ravikumar Produces and Plays a Central Character in the Sci-fi Drama

After a successful stint in Bigg Boss Season 3, Tharshan Thiyagarajah and Losliya Mariyanesan will be seen pairing up in the much-anticipated film Koogle Kutappa. It is a remake of the super hit Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25. 

In this thrilling trailer, Tharshan is a mechanical engineer. KS Ravikumar plays his father and Losliya plays his lover. KS Ravikumar initially detests the presence of a robot brought home by his son. However, after a series of events, he slowly finds a companion in the robot (who is later named Kutappa) and treats it like a son. As the trailer states, the incompatible relationship gradually becomes inseparable. 

In what looks like an emotional-comedy track at first, several twists get lined up. Tharshan soon learns that the robot could strangle his father anytime. Stuck between his father's love for Kutappa and the imminent danger to his life, Tharshan and Losliya try to save his father. The fast-paced trailer hints that the film will be about the use of technology and robots, and the danger that tags along with it.

Koogle Kutappa is directed by debutants Sabari and Saravanan, who were previously assistant directors of KS Ravikumar. Apart from KS Ravikumar and Tharshan Thiyagarajah, the film stars Losliya Mariyanesan and Yogi Babu in lead roles. 

The music is composed by Ghibran. The film is produced by KS Ravikumar under the banner RK Celluloids and co-produced by Kallal Global Entertainment. It is RK Celluloids' second film after Thenali in 2000.
