The Laxmmi Bomb trailer begins with a voice saying, '"Yeh bhoot voot kuch nahi hota hai (There are no such things as ghosts)" set against images of a woman being dragged by an unseen force. "Jis din mere saamne bhoot aaya na, toh maa kasam chudiyan pehen loonga (The day I see a ghost is the day I'll wear bangles)", Akshay Kumar's character continues. He's promptly possessed by the "dangerous and powerful" spirit of a woman which compels him to act effeminate, wear a saree, start a good skincare routine and of course, wear bangles.
All of this happens when he moves in with his wife's (Kiara Advani) family, who are shocked by his abrupt transformation. We find out the ghost is here for revenge, followed by shots of Kumar's character kicking, slapping and throwing people.
Written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of his own film, the Tamil movie Muni 2: Kanchana. It releases on DisneyPlus Hotstar on November 9.
