After the action film Kaduva (2022), Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj Sukumaran reunite for Kaapa. Set in Thiruvananthapuram, the action film is centred around the concept of revenge and gang wars. The film is also said to be based on Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 2007, also known as KAAPA.
"When a gang leader is killed, his brother, brother-in-law or cousin will join the gang and avenge his death," Nandu's character warns us. The teaser then cuts to few fight scenes, giving us glimpses of the characters played by Aparna Balamurali and Asif Ali, before depicting the mass introduction of Prithviraj's character.
The actor royally walks out of a car and fights several rowdies. When one rowdy mockingly asks how he will manage all of them alone, he hits every one of them and tells, "I have always fought alone to reach this position." This revenge action drama is slated to hit the theatres this Christmas.
Helmed by Shaji Kailas, the revenge drama co-stars Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali and Anna Ben. The story is penned by G R Indugopan. The film is produced under the banners of Fefka Writers Union, Theatre of Dreams and Saregama India Limited. While Dawn Vincent has composed the music, Jomon T John has cranked the camera and Shameer Muhammed has handled the editing.
