After the riveting thriller Joji (2021), the trio Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran reunite to produce the crime drama Thankam. Vineeth Sreenivasan, who is basking in the success of Mukundan Unni Associates (2022) plays Kannan, a gold agent, teaming up with Biju Menon's Muthu to distribute gold in the Mumbai city.
But when their plans get messed up, the Maharashtra police get involved. As police begin to trace them, Vineeth swears he has done nothing illegal. While Biju Menon's Muthu seems to blame it all on Vineeth, the former is in prison as the trailer ends. Vineeth swiftly shifts from speaking in Malayalam to Tamil and from leaking details over a call to playing it innocent. What happens when the Maharashtra police try to nab a Malayali in Tamil Nadu? Who is actually guilty?
The crime drama is slated to hit the screens on January 26.
