Set in the backdrop of Cochin Port from 1927 to 1953, Thuramukham follows the lives of workers who struggle for basic rights and power. First ruled by the gang leaders, the workers breathe fresh air when the union wins over the bad men. But soon it turns out that their lives got no better, as the actions of the union were the same. In the trailer, a worker cries "Gang leaders left and unions took over but did our lives change?"
It looks like multiple unions are formed within the working groups and a fight for the most powerful one continues. Nivin Pauly plays a worker who is a part of the rebellion and fights for power in this periodic action film. The trailer ends similar to the teaser with Nivin Pauly telling the police "I am ready" and smiling sarcastically.
