Trailer Talk: Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Upcoming Film Kaduva Is Packed With Action

Director Shaji Kailas makes a comeback to the Malayalam industry after almost a decade with Kaduva, releasing on June 30. Kaduva is set against the backdrop of the 90s and revolves around the rivalry between Kaduvakkunel Kuruvachan (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a break-all-rules businessman, and a high-ranking police officer (Vivek Oberoi).

The 2nd teaser of Kaduva begins with the introduction of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan. The police go around drilling information about someone named "Kurian". While everyone says he might be some new kid, it is revealed that he is known as Kuruvachan in his hometown.

Bringing some retro swag, the teaser gives us glimpses of various action sequences, often involving Kuruvachan and police officers. With a throbbing background score, a roaring sound of a tiger as Prithviraj fights, and dialogues like "A royal, savage tiger", the teaser builds up the powerful image of Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan without Prithviraj having to utter any word.

Kaduva is directed by Shaji Kailas and marks the reunion of the director with Prithviraj Sukumaran after Simhasanam. Apart from Prithviraj, the film also stars Vivek Oberoi, Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar, Dileesh Pothan, Alencier Ley Lopez, and Janardhanan.

The script is by Jinu V Abraham and it's being shot by Sujith Vaassudev. Jakes Bejoy has composed the film's songs and background score. Shameer Muhammed has handled the editing. Kanal Kannan & Mafia Sasi have choreographed the fight sequences. It is produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen under the banner of Prithviraj Productions & Magic Frames. The film is slated to hit the theatres on June 30.
