What happens when a professor (Huma Qureshi) at a well-known University is at loggerheads with a student (Avantika Dassani) with a powerful background? What happens when the rivalry actually stems from a past that the professor tries hard to keep hidden?
Going by the trailer of the upcoming series, Mithya, chaos, mystery, a series of infinite lies and a murder ensues. A murder for which the two of them become prime suspects.
What seems to be an academic disagreement at first turns into something darker and murkier as the past and present collide, with multiple lives and relationships at stake. It starts with Juhi (Qureshi) accusing her student of cheating in an important paper. However, as the conversation turns into a brutal blame game, the notions of 'cheating' start changing and unraveling – hinting at buried secret(s) that could potentially be fatal.
Starring Qureshi, Dassani, Parambrata Chatterjee and Samir Soni, the thriller is directed by Rohan Sippy and co-produced by Applause Entertainment and Rose Audio Visual Production. It is set to stream on Zee5 from February 18.
