The trailer for the Sunny Deol-directed Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is here.

A launch vehicle for his son Karan Deol, the film centres on a love story. More specifically 'the biggest love story of this generation'. Against lavish mountain landscapes (the film is said to have been shot in Spiti, Manali and Ladakh), we are introduced to Karan Sehgal (Karan Deol), a rock-climber tasked with guiding Saher Sethi (Saher Bambba) on a trek through the mountains.

What follows is a budding romance between the two over the course of their expedition. Not much can be gleaned of the story outside of them falling in love, though we see glimpses of conflict towards the end of the trailer, all leading up to a series of fight scenes with Karan looking to emulate his father's revered intensity.

This is essentially your standard Bollywood love story trailer—a mix of picturesque landscapes, deep stares into each other's eyes and an Arijit Singh song to match. Going by this trailer, neither lead screams charisma or screen presence. Whether the same is true of the film remains to be seen.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas gets its title from the beloved song from Blackmail (1973) which starred Karan's grandfather Dharmendra and Rakhee Gulzar. A joint production venture between Zee Studios and Sunny Sounds P Ltd, the film is set to hit screens on September 20th.
