Tabbar Trailer Talk: A Happy Family Gets Entangled In A Whodunit

The trailer of SonyLIV's upcoming series Tabbar, featuring an ensemble cast of Supriya Pathak, Pavan Malhotra, Gagan Arora, Sahil Mehta and Ranvir Shorey, revolves around a simple, ordinary family of four, whose lives get entangled in a murder mystery.

The trailer begins with a framed photo of the family. It then cuts back and forth in time, giving us a peek into the happier moments of their lives. One of their sons (Arora), studying in Delhi, aspires to be an IPS officer and is well on the way to making his dreams come true. He even tops a mock exam, indicative of the hard work he puts in. There are, however, hints of a complex dynamic between him and his brother, who seems a tad disinterested in the way their parents are always celebrating the smallest of his brother's triumphs.

Things take a turn for the worse soon after the elder son returns home. He finds himself in the middle of a tragedy – a dark truth his family soon become a part of. There has been a high-profile murder, one they're somehow involved in. Things start falling apart as the family goes to every possible length to protect their own. The trailer ends the way it begins – with the same framed photo hanging on the wall – this time, smeared with blood.

Directed by Ajitpal Singh and produced by Ajay Rai of Jar Pictures, the series will stream on SonyLIV from October 15.
