Ayalaan Trailer Talk: Sivakarthikeyan Teams Up With An Alien to Save The Earth

Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan has been in the making for a long time and is finally set to land on Pongal. After the audio launch, the makers have now unveiled the film's trailer. Sivakarthikeyan plays a small-town youngster who believes that the world is not just for humans, but also belongs to small beings like worms and insects. Several others, including the film's antagonist have different opinions, but an alien (who isn't fond of being called an alien) seems to agree with Sivakarthikeyan. "The humans may not care for the Earth, but if we don't save the planet, it will create bigger problems," the alien tells him. And they team up to fulfil the mission.

While the film deals with climate change and dangerous issues, the trailer balances out the seriousness with comedy sequences. Likewise, be it fun or action, AR Rahman's music is omnipresent in the trailer. After giving us a lovely time travel ride in Indru Netru Naalai (2015), R Ravikumar promises a fun actioner with Ayalaan.

The sci-fi comedy has music by AR Rahman and is bankrolled by 24 AM Studios. The film co-stars Rakul Preet Singh, Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, David Broughton-Davies and Banupriya, among others. Actor Siddharth has lent his voice to the alien character in the film. Nirav Shah is the cinematographer, while Ruben is in charge of the film’s editing. Ayalaan is slated to hit the screens on January 12.
