After Silambarasan and team released the teaser of their film Eeswaran at 4.32 AM on Deepavali day, today we saw Nayanthara's new film, produced by Vignesh Shivan and directed by Milind Rau, come out with the teaser at 09:09 AM, on her 36th birthday.

Titled Netrikann (meaning third eye), the film appears to be about a visually-challenged person who gets stuck right in the middle of a serious crime. Narrated in the voice of her character in a story-like fashion, she explains that there was a wily fox that was attacking lambs, as visuals of a man torturing men and women are seen. It appears that another lamb (possibly her) gets ready to lay a trap for this fox.

In an excellent teaser, little is revealed but it certainly sets the tone for a noir-ish, night-time crime story with a lot of mystery. Watch the teaser here:

Just minutes after the trailer, comparisons have already started with Ayushmann Khurrana's Andhadhun and Mohanlal's Oppamwhich were both about a visually-challenged person getting involuntarily involved in a crime scene.

This is the fourth major teaser that was out in recent times after Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Silambarasan's Eeswaran and Vijay's Mastershowing signs of a recovery in the industry as theatres open up slowly.
