Pettaikaali Trailer Talk: Game Face Is On In Vetri Maaran's Jallikattu Series

Pettaikaali, Aha Tamil's latest original web series is presented by director Vetri Maaran, and explores the rich culture around the 1000-year-old bull taming Tamil festival known as Jallikattu or Manju Virattu. The series, which documents the traditional festival follows the journey of individuals who fight to win the village sport.

As the festival inches closer, owners of different bulls train them and get ready for the event, aiming to outdo one another. The trailer also depicts the ego clashes between individuals that sometimes stir fights on the ground.

"Everyone knows the life of struggling for food, but the routine of fighting for life and prestige will be understood only by those who live that way and die," Kishore's voice tells us in the background.

Depicting the traditions of the festival, Pettaikaali promises to explore the power struggle and ego fights associated with Jallikattu. The web series is slated to be released this Diwali on October 21 on Aha Tamil.

Directed by La Rajkumar, the web series stars Kalaiyarasan, Kishore and Sheela Rajkumar. The series has music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Velraj.
