The trailer of Sivakarthikeyan's Prince, which begins with clippings of caste and religion based violence, soon takes a comical turn when Sathyaraj enters the screen.
He takes a knife and cuts the palm of one member from each warring group, proving that they share the same coloured blood and that humanity is much bigger than caste.
Sivakarthikeyan plays Arjun, a school teacher who uses unorthodox methods to help students. He falls in love with a British woman (played by Maria) who teaches physics in the same school. But the entire village is against him as he loves a foreigner. But Arjun reasons with logic: "I have always followed the pledge that goes 'All Indians are my brothers and sisters.' Thus, I loved a British woman."
