Sardar Trailer Talk: Karthi Is A Master Of Disguise

The trailer of Karthi's upcoming film Sardar wastes no time to describe its eponymous character. "Sardar is not that easy to catch hold of. He is a master of disguise," the narrator tells us, as we see the silhouette of Karthi quickly changing garbs.

The PS Mithran directorial is a spy thriller that also doubles up as a police drama. The trailer introduces the various avatars of Karthi. But the most significant of them all is the suave inspector Vijay Prakash. He is not your ideal Tamil film cop though. Instead of hiding in the modesty of his goodness, he thrives in the presence of acclaim and social media. "Even if we do some good for four people, we should make sure it must be popularised among 40,000 people," he says.

But when a confidential document goes missing from a government organisation in Chennai, people are on alert, and Karthi gets his game face on.

The film also co-stars Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Panday and Laila in important roles. The GV Prakash Kumar musical, which has been edited by Ruben, will hit the theatres on October 21.
