Trailer Talk: Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal Promises A Fun Love Triangle

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (KRK) narrates a love triangle featuring Vijay Sethupathi as Rambo, Nayanthara as Kanmani and Samantha as Khatija.

Several scenes in the trailer imitate different sequences from other films. For instance, the trailer opens up with Kanmani noticing a diya lit by a small girl. When she runs to protect it, Khatija and Rambo also join her, giving its unique touch to the famous Kushi scene replica. Similarly, there are replicas from Naanum Rowdy Thaan, Baahubali 2 and even Titanic.

The trailer gives us glimpses of their love tales. When both Kanmani and Khatija learn about each other, Rambo gets stuck. The concept of two women fighting for a man is nothing new in Tamil cinema, but the trailer promises an entertaining ride.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha. It is produced by 7 Screen Studio in association with Rowdy Pictures. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on April 28.
